A bowl of dengu doesn’t necessary need a lot of fuss. Simple vegetables and seasoning often do the magic. Here is a delicious variation of Kenyan dengu recipe I made a few days ago and really enjoyed. It’s a major yum 🙂 🙂
How To Cook Kenyan Dengu Recipe:
1 cup of cooked dengus /green grams
1 Onion diced
2 Tomatoes Diced
2 cloves of Garlic diced
1 Medium Green Pepper (hoho) diced
1 carrot diced
¼ tsp of pepper
2 Royco or Maggi cubes
Oil for Frying
Salt to Taste
Step 1: Fry onions and garlic for 1 minute
Step 2: Add the tomatoes, carrots, green pepper, salt, pepper, seasoning and cook until soft
Step 3: Next, add the cooked dengu and stir.
Step 4: Next add in water the same level with the green grams. Cover and boil for 10 minutes.
Step 5: Serve your Kenyan dengu recipe with a meal of your choice.
